This is main board normally put on Gimbal frame near the Quad .
This is the two options imu available normally is on camera module:
2 axis with 3 accelerometer and 3 gyroscope 3 magnetometer in one version we use mpu6050 and in other we use mpu 9150 1 chip 9 DOF sensor.
Some friends start to design different kind of gimbal for our new board. The main difference respect of standard gimbal is that the mechanical frame need to be develop for each video sensor that you would like to use for your video. This frame is for Gopro Hero 2-3 in the design is important to move CG of camera for obtain better result during gimbal stabilization :)
This is the caratheristics of our : VR Gimbal :
Micro Controller is STM32F1 at 72 mhz.
3 Axis Brushless Direct Drive gimbal :
For each channel we have 3 high power pwm output .
I2C IMU that support 3 axis . It is on camera module , so we can know exactly the position of camera and control in realtime the 3 Brushless motors.
We are developing two option :
1 USB port.
1 Serial port that support mavlink protocol.
1 Power module that support until 3S battery.
4 Radio RC Input for :
4 Analog Input 0-3.3v
1 IR Out , so is pssible to control a remote camera by its ir receiver.
The first batch of production will be available in 3 week it's better to reserve your board because there is a big request of this gimbal.

Thanks, I think I figured that out after a lot of reading, it's quite confusing. It says you can get [product] here for certain products, but then there's a long page of text and pictures and no obvious way to 'get' anything, until you read all the text and see halfway through where it says contact info@virtualrobotix.com - anyway, now I know. :)
Hi Jonathan ,
for by VRGimbal you can send a request mail to info@virtualrobotix.com

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can I buy these things anywhere?
Perfect Roberto...!!!
Many thanks for these good news. i'll share on our French Forum.
Hi Marc,
so about the firmware we are write our application on VR Gimbal ... it's opensource and based of AP_LIB the same used inside our VR Brain Flight Control for Drone.
The micro controller is a 32 bit , will be available 2 revision of hardware one entry level with stm32f1 and other for professional application with an stm32f4 .
The code is new because we check the other product and we see that our imu is more advanced respect of martinez and alexmos .
For example Our AHRS library in pro revision support also gps for improve attitude estimation as the Movi product.
We use for telemetry standard mavlink protocol so will be simple interface telemetry modem and handheld application on smatphone and pad.
About the control of motors the ST micro is normally used in a lot of industrial application for motors control so that is better micro available for this kind of application :) And inside have a dsp for fast mathematics computation :)
We hope that an opensource approach could be very usefull for improve our platform very fast on the need of users.
In one week will be ready for the fist firmware for enduser ... For developer is yet avaiable the repository of our opensource enviroment.
Best

Hi Foxteam, do you have a release date for the VR Gimbal and just a little question : what will be the soft on this Gimbal controller (Martinez, AlexMos...) Many thanks in advance for your answer and well done for your great project...!!
Marc.
Looks like a nice approach for getting some sensible 3 axis performance.
Like most, I have been playing with a few of these boards and some motors. FWIW a good motor is the Iflight 4006 rewound with 2 strands of .20 wire and 85 turns. that gives 5.5 Ohms which is powerful enough for cameras such as Canon 550D etc.
I had the thought that 2 strands would be better (more torque) than one larger dia. for the same resistance, however I stand to be corrected on this but it does at least seem to stack up in practice.
Hi, weight? Price? thx
