What kind of Design do you prefer for your next drone ?

After one year of first experiment with 3d fast prototyping frame , we try to choose a new design for the next step , help us to choose better :

I like the version B too...

As Oyvind i think the top cover must be transparent to have a look on leds (board, xbee,..)

An interesting design too is the quad for "Protezione civile" : it seems very pratical, waterproof and has a good look!

Hi Guys ,

today we had a long meeting about Option 'B' design ... we evaluate some upgrade . Monday will be available online . Thanks a lot for your support and suggestions .... We are consider in our review .

We are doing evaluation not only on design , but also of electronic position , possibility of payload , trasmitter , battery , time of flight ecc ecc ....

I'm sorry for my opinion, but none of variants is a AVIO device looks like :(

Dream to see working constrution set, showing us the force fild in loaded elements, kinds of different materials used, modules funtionality showing.

and there are'nt scale factors, so nobody can say what is real size (large or small)/

Design B seems very practical and at the same time has futuristic shape, like me.

Option B :-) and make the top cover balck transparent, so it is possible to see status LED's on the controller, GPS, radio..

B proposal

I think that it is a good stating point for a nice modern quadricopter.

Need a verification on the possibility to build at competitive price.

La soluzione B sembra più interessante ed impegnativa, adatta a una struttura minimale con una fusoliera appena sufficiente a contenere l'elettronica e la batteria.

Scaricando le forze dei motori agli estremi della fusoliera bisogna calibrare accuratamente la struttura per ridurre i pesi.

I too like B. I love the idea of having the safety ring supported by the main body and not the arms. It is also a defining design where A & B are nice, but evolutionary.
