Hi,
When using a VRMicroBrain with a APM:Plane, should the buzzer make any noise? I have a buzzer from a PixHawk( like this http://www.digikey.com.au/product-detail/en/CPE-827/102-1620-ND/1738894) .
I attached one wire to the "buzzer" pin and the other to a+5v pin, but I am not hearing any tones during start up or at any other time.
Does the buzzer work with the current code? Have I connected it up correctly?

Hi,
Buzzer or Led pins are +, they take power from the V+Batt monitoring pin.
So, if you want to use your Buzzer, you have to drive power to the V+Batt pin and plug the + Buzzer side on the Buzzer pin, and ground the buzzer-. According to the 10V operating Buzzer, you may have to use a resistor somewhere (if you have a 3 or 4S battery).
Arming, disarming, GPS glitch, low voltage alert are OK with the buzzer.

That doesn't sound correct to me. pretty sure your way will short out the 5V as soon as it tries to buzz!
Buzzer + should go to power + and buzzer - wires to the buzzer wire on the ubrain. The ubrain switches to 0V

that is how mine is wired, but using battery volts rather than 5V.
have you tried the buzzer hardwired to 5V and 0V to test it?
